Our approach

Optimise your cloud operating model
Cloud is business-critical, but many environments are not set up to deliver full value. Our cloud health check uses a structured, proven methodology to assess how your cloud is designed and managed, then aligns it to a high-performing operating model that supports change, controls cost and improves performance.

Cloud expertise you can rely on
Bistech has extensive experience in designing, delivering and managing complex cloud environments. The team understands where hidden costs, unnecessary complexity and security risks develop, and provides clear, practical guidance to remove them and improve performance.

Strengthen your cloud foundation
Cloud environments can scale quickly, often leading to inconsistent standards, unclear ownership and increased risk. Our cloud health check will help you to standardise your setup, improve security and reduce complexity, so your team can move forward with confidence.

Clear, business-focused guidance
We turn complex technical insight into straightforward, actionable recommendations for your leadership team. You can clearly see where your cloud is adding value, where it is holding you back and what actions will deliver the greatest impact.

What to expect from your health check

How we understand your environment
Our cloud consultants lead a structured discussion focused on how your cloud and infrastructure are designed and run. We look at how your architecture, processes and governance operate in practice, and where cost, complexity or manual effort may be limiting performance. You leave with a clear, joined-up view of your current environment and where change will have the biggest impact.

How to prepare
A working knowledge of your current infrastructure, cloud services and governance approach is enough to support the session. This is a focused, high-level discussion designed to highlight strengths, gaps and opportunities. It is not a technical audit or migration assessment, and all recommendations are based on what is shared during the session.

Your findings
You receive a clear view of how your cloud is performing today, including any gaps or areas of risk. We provide prioritised recommendations so you can see whether there is a strong case for change, what to tackle first, and how modern cloud approaches can reduce effort, improve control and support future growth.

Frequently asked questions
What is a cloud health check?
A cloud health check is a structured review of how your cloud environment is designed, managed and governed. It helps you understand whether your current setup is supporting the business effectively, or creating unnecessary cost, complexity and risk.
How do I know if we need one?
Most organisations benefit from a health check if:
- cloud costs are rising without clear explanation
- changes take longer than expected
- ownership and governance are unclear
- environments have grown over time without a clear structure
If any of these feel familiar, it’s worth reviewing how your cloud is set up.
What does the session involve?
It’s a short, guided working session with a Bistech consultant. We focus on how your cloud and infrastructure environments are designed and operated, and where improvements could deliver the biggest impact.
Do you need access to our systems?
No. The session is discussion-based. We don’t require direct system access or technical testing – all insights are based on how your environment is currently managed and operated.
What will we get at the end?
You’ll leave with:
- a clear view of how your cloud is performing today
- insight into where cost, effort or risk can be reduced
- a practical view of what to prioritise next
- an understanding of the potential value of making changes
Is this just about reducing cost?
No. Cost is often a symptom rather than the root issue. The focus is on improving how your cloud operates – which typically reduces cost, but also improves control, resilience and speed of change.
Is this relevant if we’re already in the cloud?
Yes. Most of the organisations we work with are already using cloud services. The value comes from improving how those environments are designed and run, not starting from scratch.
What happens after the health check?
There’s no obligation to take things further. If there’s a clear opportunity to improve, we’ll outline what a sensible next step looks like so you can decide how you want to proceed.
