Founded in 1873, WP Thompson is a specialist IP prosecution and litigation firm. Its UK-based multi-disciplinary team is split between three offices in Cardiff, Liverpool and London, providing their UK and international clients with professional advice and support services that are technically excellent, legally sophisticated and commercially astute.

The challenge

In 2017, with their server estate approaching end of life, WP Thompson identified the need to work with a strategic IT partner to enable them to meet their business goals. Securely managing a large volume of commercially sensitive, confidential data over a long period of time is critical to the firm’s success, so they were looking for a flexible, scalable, cost-effective way forward.
