Bistech’s Big Winter Wander

Wandering for wildlife.

The Big Winter Wander is an annual sponsored event established by WWF that encourages people to complete a walk in their local area and get closer to nature. Money raised will support WWF’s important work to help protect the planet.

When choosing this Community Fund challenge, Arne was the first place that came to mind. Being local to our Head Office — and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to boot — we were excited to plan our 10k route through the sweeping patchwork of woodlands, wetlands, mudflats, and heathlands. And, as it’s a Site of Special Scientific Interest maintained by the RSPB, we decided to split our donations between both worthy causes.

While rambling through the idyllic landscape, our Bistrekkers basked in beautiful birdsong and soaked up the surroundings — as well as a generous helping of sunshine!
